William Cox, Sr., a Long Island sailor, who sailed on Sound Inter Club CANVASBACK, #17, in 1936, shown at the helm of 12 meter AMERICAN EAGLE, 1964. He was the uncle of Louisa Alger Watrous, historian for the iSc class restoration project.
