"TWELVE ONE DESIGNS FOR SALE" advertisement placed by Sparkman & Stephens Incorporated, 11 East 44th Street, New York (also in Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Providence), in Yachting Magazine, July, 1936, with the following text:
"By reason of their owners having ordered boats in a new International Class, twelve of the twenty-six Sound Interclub Sloops are being offered for sale, for delivery at the end of the season. The Interclubs are probably the most successful small One-Design Class in American yachting history and this is an unusual opportunity for some club to sponsor a proven Class. The Interclubs were built by Nevins. Their principal dimensions are 28'9" x 19'6" x 7'9 x 4'9". They have modern rigs with hollow spars, loose footed jib and permanent backstay."
The photo in the ad is of Sound Inter Club AILEEN, #25. This is the ad that the Lake George, NY group saw and acted on in arranging for the boats to move there from LIS.
